Butterfly
Photino
|
The Photino is a blade designed for the highest standards
of play.
It has been extensively tested by many of our contract professionals and
features Butterfly’s newest technical innovation, the use of ZL Fiber.
ZL Fiber is lighter in weight and harder than even Carbon.
At the same time ZL Fiber is more flexible than Carbon and holds the
ball a little longer, allowing for maximum spin to be created. The ITTF
has banded all glues with VOC’s as of September 1, 2008. Butterfly has
created the Photino for the modern topspin player looking for more power
in a future without fresh gluing.

Photino reviews (collected from internet): |
The Butterfly Photino has a zylon layer, which gives it a
big sweet spot but a much more springy feel than most carbon blades and
also softer. This makes it very suitable as a power-looping blade, where
it really shines a little away (or far) from the table with plenty of
power. The softer and springy feel gives the blade a higher throw than
most carbon blade, making it easier to lift the ball or initiate
attack. Works best with medium hardness rubbers. Quality of the blade is
outstanding. |
