A real low and short no-spin serve can give you some easy points in matches, as they are difficult to flip hard, and they require good timing to push hard. Mix it up with a heavy backspin in the same spot. Remember to get it short, the ball should bounce short on your side close to the net...

Ma Lin's Table Tennis Coaching tips / Guides

Ma Lin (nickname not real name) is a Chinese table tennis player who has trained with many high level coaches and training camps in China. He has gained a lot of experience and knowledge on different style and techniques in table tennis, and has kindly offered to share what he's learned over the years with the table tennis community. Although MaLin has not actually been on the Chinese national team roster, the material here is what is taught to the national team players. He has also played with many players at provincial and national levels. 

Below are a series of guides on the different strokes/shots that are taught to the Chinese national players, and offers different perspectives on why China is usually on top.
