Hallmark Green Power Review: |
Set up used:
Wavestone blade
Black Hallmark Green Power 2.? Muf, help me out, was it 2.0?
Red Juic Nano cannon Max
Inspection of the rubber; Despite it being a used rubber, it still
looked to be in very good condition and it had a quality feel to it.
Feelt like "real" rubber and not plastic like some sheets do.
Speed, once again, my suspicions are confirmed when it comes to those in
build speed glue effect rubbers, what manufacturers are doing is to
increase the speed and nothing else. This was a fast rubber, almost as
fast as the unglued Nano Cannon, which I believe has a thicker sponge.
Plenty of speed to hit winners from way behind the table.
Spin, actually a nice surprise, spin in short game was decent,
comparable to the Nano Cannon, but from distance... This rubber
surprised me as it was easier to generate spin with from distance then
NC, despite the rather hard feel of it. Now, I didn't pull of any
monster loops with it, but I was able to generate enough spin to keep
the ball on the table, despite being used to tacky rubbers.
Short game, this rubber was a tad bouncy, but not as bad as I suspected
it would be, considering its top speed. The rubber felt a tad more
geared then the NC, or at least, it had lower gears.
Reasons to buy this rubber:
Not all that expensive, considering its Hallmark and build in glue
effect.
Gives you all the speed you need.
Good control in every distance.
Reasons to avoid this rubber:
Didn't really have a glue feel to it, so cheaper options are available.
Felt kind of dead on impact, only by feeling, not by reaction, the shots
were fast and spinny enough but I couldn't really "feel" the hit.
Who should use it?
Not me
Cause even if it was better then I expected, it wasn't better then 999
EN. I think this rubber would be a good Bh rubber for a two winged
looper who plays from mid-distance. To me, it felt to hard to use on Fh
but it didn't bother me as much on Bh.
