A real low and short no-spin serve can give you some easy points in matches, as they are difficult to flip hard, and they require good timing to push hard. Mix it up with a heavy backspin in the same spot. Remember to get it short, the ball should bounce short on your side close to the net...

 DHS Hurricane 2 / 3 Blue Sponge

Hurricane 2 Blue Sponge

This is a special version of the hurricane 2 and 3 rubbers, with the DHS blue sponge. The top-sheet of this rubber seems the same as that of the standard version, but the sponge is quite different.

The blue sponge is softer and more elastic than the standard orange sponge. It is also know to react much better to speed glue. The sponges also appears to be much more consistent in weight and hardness. Between all the batches received, weight was within a few grams.

 Hurricane 2 blue sponge review:

User Reviews (from internet/newsgroups):

I spent most of yesterday having a go with the H2 Blue sponge. Its quite a monster, When I first got it and unwrapped it. It didn't seem like anything was special except for the blue sponge. I was expecting it to be similar if not identical to the orange H2.

The H2 blue sponge is very well controlled at low speeds and listens exactly to what you want it to do. At higher speeds its a monster, for loop driving this would be up on my favorites list for sure. The thrust it produces is huge, Most people say the incoming ball isn't all that fast ........ until it lands and kicks off wildly. I wont do a review for it since theres millions of reviews for it around.

compared to the orange its alot better. its much softer and springier which allows even more dwell time. Overall a 9/10 from me, so its definitely a top rubber! LawOCG (published with permission).
