Comments:
A rubber
sheet for the professionals. This rubber has the speed and spin of a speed glued rubber sheet. Great speed and spin, and very good feel. This
rubber is very similar to the famous 388A-4 Sprungfeder, except the topsheet is
a little softer making it slightly slower but spinnier. If the reviews on the 388-A4 are anything to go
by, this rubbers should be pretty awesome!

Dawei Sprungfeder 388A-2
review: |
Dawei 388A-2 Sprungfeder: This is an impressive rubber,
it is very fast, ultra tacky with very good control. First thing I noticed when
I took it out of the packet was that it curved into a bow, no doubt because of
the tension effect. After a few layers of glue (normal glue) is was flat,
so I could easily put it onto the blade (Energy wood). The rubber has a thick
plastic film on the surface. The film itself is sticky like sticky tape. I
presume this is meant to be re-attached after play. Playing with it was great, I
love this rubber!
Loops are fast and spinny, it
really kicks on the table and dips real fast! It has plenty of gears.. the
harder I hit or loops, the more the tension effect became appearant! The sound
is certainly not as loud as some speed glued rubbers, but there is definitely
seems to be a
bit of a click on certain shots.
Smashes feel great, they come
off very fast, and it sometimes makes a bit of a 'slap' type sound.
Even after several sessions of
play, the rubber is still ultra tacky. I could easily pick up the ball with it
and hold it for several seconds! I could get great spin on serves. The extreme
tackiness has worn a little after about 5 sessions (which is normal for most
rubbers), but it's still a very tacky rubber.
I have not found a downside of
this rubber yet, I'll have to try it in some matches to see if it has any. From
other review I have read, this rubber is supposed to be particularly good for
speed glueing, but I have not tried that yet, I'm pretty happy with it unglued
already.
