Table Tennis Tips

A real low and short no-spin serve can give you some easy points in matches, as they are difficult to flip hard, and they require good timing to push hard. Mix it up with a heavy backspin in the same spot. Remember to get it short, the ball should bounce short on your side close to the net...

RITC Friendship 563-1 Medium Pips-Out Rubber

Characteristics:

  • Medium Pips out

  • Strange Effect on ball

  • Will produce deceptive shots

  • Can produce Speed and Spin necessary for attack

  • Suitable for fast attack guard against loop lowering ball

  • ITTF/USATT/CTTA approved

Specifications:

  • Speed: 7

  • Spin: 7

  • Control: 8

  • Deception: 6

Comments:

The 563-1 medium-pip is the best off speed blocking rubber, but it can also hit very well. Balls hit with 563-1 have some sink and some deception. Rubber is best for Chop, hit, block, excellent for service returns. Note that 1 rubbers have more spacing between pips giving increased control over incoming spin and service returns, the 1 rubbers will have a slight decrease in ability to generate spin, but the speed is similar to standard version.
