"Spinmax really is revolutionary. It is a bat cleaner with a difference. It
really works ! Spinmax has been purposely and specifically formulated for use on table
tennis rubber. Its main feature is its ability to enhance the non-slip surface
characteristics of table tennis rubber. In fact Spinmax increases the
coefficient of friction quite considerably, enabling excellent control and spin
generation.
Spinmax is resistant to moisture, heat and cold. This feature is important as
it allows for consistant grip across all weather conditions, such as winter cold
or summer humidity. Spinmax allows consistant grip and control.
Spinmax achieves its benefits without detriment to other desirable rubber
qualities. During extensive testing it was apparent that the benefits of SPINMAX
are even more exacerbated with Chinese or 'sticky' rubbers.
- It will not accelerate deterioration of the rubber or sponge.
- It will not attract extra dust.
- It will not glaze or harden the rubber.
Note: Spinmax does not replace the need for new rubber. It simply maximises
the friction capability throughout the rubber life. We recommend that Spinmax
users continue to replace rubber at the frequency that they are used to."
Spinmax Aqueous:
Spinmax Aqueous - the new Spinmax. Free of solvents but still more spin. The
new Spinmax Aqueous tunes the rubber and increases the durability of the rubber
by enhancing and maintaining the tacky surface. Spinmax Aqueous can be applied
shortly (<30mins) before the game without any problems and without
contravening the new speed glueing regulations.
NOTE1: Because this version of spinmax is water based, and therefore has a
slower evaporation rate, a different applicator pad needs to be used.
NOTE2: Since this version of spinmax contains no organic solvents and is not
flammable, it can be safely shipped via air.
Comments:
Although Spinmax is technically classed as a cleaner, it does a lot more than
that. It appears to enhance the rubber surface tackiness making it even more
tacky. It works particularly well for Chinese style tacky (sticky) rubbers and
keep them tacky or even adds more tackiness. It is particularly handy if there
is a lot of moisture in the air and you want to ensure your rubber will grip the
ball.
Some like to use it on non-tacky rubbers as well, like many of the Euro and
Japanese rubbers. Spinmax will significantly enhance and thus change the grip of
the rubber surface, going from non-tacky to tacky, so you need to consider what
impact this has...
